July's Wedding Cake

This cake was so much fun to do. I hand painted all the sides of the cake. It was something new I had never tried to do and I think it turned out amazing. I wish I could have not painted the middle layer. The bride really wanted all of the layers painted but I think it would have looked a little better if It was a plain layer.

Mitch's olympic experience

Mitchel won and opportunity to go and train at the olympic park in Park City. He spent 4 days doing ski jumping, tenis, swimming, gymnastics and so much fun. But his favorite part of was of course the jumps. I will post more pictures soon.

Downhill racing!!

Okay as most of you know Kristen started downhill ski racing last year. This is her second year on the team. Mitchel joined the team this year. Kristen had an amazing season. She place in the top four in every race. We teased her because she had every metal except for 5th place. She place first this past Sunday in her last race of the season. She works hard training 5 days a week. We are very proud of her. Mitch placed in the top ten out of 50 racers his age. I am excited to see how next year is for both of them.

WHY NOT eat cake!!

Just a quick post to let everyone know that I am doing cakes for real now. I am actually trying to start a small business doing unique cakes. I love doing wedding cakes, birthday cakes and special occasion cakes. I will also be doing eclairs, mini cakes and anything else you can think of. I am putting togther a website or just a blog soon to show some pictures off and let everyone know what kinds of cakes I can do. My business name is WhY nOt eat cAkE!!!

Swimm'n Hole

HOoK in EyE lid!!!

Mitch was leaning over putting a hook on and Kristen pulled her pole up and people that is how you get a hook in the eyelid. We took Mitch over to my cousin's house to get it taken out. We tried but the barbs were stuck in tight. Corey had to cut off one end and then push the hook through and make another hole in his eyelid. He was so brave, the only time he cried is when we told him we had to leave the lake and go get it out. He thought we could just stay and fish. The best thing he said was that at least he made it a memorable father's day for his daddy.
